Saroeurn, 39, is married, and resides with her husband and two children in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. She has been selling groceries for more than seven years, earning approximately USD 7 per day. Her husband is a construction worker who earns about USD 5 per day. Her children are still in her care and in school.
In order to develop her family’s economy, Saroeurn is requesting a loan of USD 700 to purchase more groceries to resell. By doing so, she would earn more profit to support the family. In the future, she would like to use to the profit to expand her business and help her children get bachelors' degrees. Moreover, she hopes to rebuild her present house to make it bigger and more comfortable for her family’s living condition.
