Reth's story

Reth is a 49-year-old married woman, residing with her husband and their two children in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia.



She has grown rice and raised cattle for over ten years, and earns approximately $4 per day from these activities. Her husband is a soldier who earns approximately $3 per day. One of her children is a garment worker who earns approximately $4 per day.



In order to improve her farming operations, Reth is requesting a loan in the amount of $1,000 to purchase more cattle to use in her farming work as well as to re-sell for profits once they gain weight. By doing so, she would be able to generate more income to support her family. In the future, she would like to expand her business and to build a new house as soon as possible.
