A loan of $800 helped to buy more printing paper and books for resale.

Rehemah's story

Rehemah is 35 years old and lives in the town of Mbale in the Mbale region of Uganda. She is married and has 5 children who are all currently in school. For the past 4 years, Rehemah has been working hard to manage her stationery business, selling books, pens, and printing paper.

To help expand her business, Rehemah has requested a loan of 2,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more printing paper and books for resale, and will help Rehemah to generate greater profits and expand her business. Rehemah hopes that in the future she will be able to be the best service provider in the community.

Rehemah is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Rehemah who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
