Mwanajuma is a married woman with three children, two of whom are enrolled in school. She owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. She sells firewood and charcoal from home; her primary customers are her neighbors. Mwanajuma joined Yehu to get enough capital for her business. She aspires to hire employees in the future.

She plans to use the loan of 20,000 Kenyan shillings (KES) to buy sacks of charcoal and bundles of firewood.
