A loan of $950 helped to buy basic products to sell.

Aurora's story

Aurora is 63 years old, married with 5 children. Thogether they form a very united family, who works hard and has good christian principles. She lives with her husband in Bonito, Colon. Aurora sells food products and general groceries. She is the only one who attends customers and she works from 7 am to 8 pm. Her business is very profitable and gives her a decent income that helps with supporting her household. She asks for a loan to invest in her small grocery store and buy supplies such as rice, sugar, black beans, butter, drinks, churros, jams, vegetables, meat, etc. Thanks to this loan, she will be able to offer a greater variety of items at her store and offer a choice to her customers. One of Aurora's goals is to have a well-stocked grocery store that generates enough income to allow her and her husband to live. Her main challenge has been keeping in business and making her activity more efficient. Aurora is in her second loan cycle with field partner FAMA and has always paid back on time.
