A loan of $425 helped to buy a sewing machine and fabrics to make clothes to be displayed and sold.

Coura's story

Coura is 46 years old, single, and she has been working as a seamstress for 15 years. She has opened a sewing shop in front of her house, where she makes, displays and sells her work. It should be noted that she also has a display cabinet where she sells cosmetic products. Her customer base consists of neighbors and people from her neighborhood.

This is Coura's first loan with UIMCEC. She is requesting 200,000 CFA francs for the purchase of a sewing machine and fabrics.

With the profits from her business, Coura buys food and pays her electricity bills. Her future project is to increase the size of her shop, with the assistance of the microfinance institution.
