Milagros Ernestina's story

Milagros is a very humble and, above all, tenacious young woman. She is 32 years old, and she lives with her mother. She supports her a lot with the fruit of her labor. Her home is located in the city of Pisco.

This city was devastated in 2007 by the earthquake that year. Many people perished and left great sadness among the people who survived. The city is also known because of the Islas Ballestas, which receive an infinity of tourists throughout the whole year. It is also known for its fishing and agriculture.

With great effort Milagros managed to start her business of selling clothes. She has been selling clothes for four years, and it is going well for her. She believes that this improvement took place because of the friendly way she waits on her customers. She always offers quality products at a low price.

Milagros is very grateful to the Kiva lenders. Thanks to the help they have given her she will be able to buy more merchandise for her business. She will buy things like pants, polo style shirts, blouses, and children’s clothes, among others. By doing so she will be able to have a greater variety of products and improve her income. This way she will continue her efforts every day to make her biggest dream come true: To give her parents a better quality of life.
