A loan of $775 helped to support her son in his higher education.

Vidalina's story

Vidalina is a 49-year-old woman. She is single and has two children in her care. She lives in Oyotún, district of Chiclayo, capital of the department of Lambayeque. She lives in her own home together with her children. Viviana's business activity is raising and selling livestock (cows, goats, pigs and farmyard birds). She also sells milk. When her animals have reached an appropriate size and weight, she sells them in the local market. She has been in this line of work for approximately 11 years. The business is located outside her home and she learned it from her parents which means that she knows it like the back of her hand. Vidalina's husband is a farmer. He supports her financially which provides her with additional income. Viviana has requested a loan for 2,000 soles which she will use to invest in buying nutritionally-balanced feed for her animals and to support her son who is studying his higher education in the city of Chiclayo. It will enable her to improve his quality of life.
