Jumuiya Kiluvya Group's story

Zena, who is in her mid-50s, is a widow with four grown-up children and three grandchildren who go to school. She has been running a poultry business for 20 years now. She works from 6.00 am to 6.00 pm daily and is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be her 10th loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to build a chicken house, chicken feeds, household expenses, school fees for the grand kids and has paid back all her loans successfully. She wants a loan to finish building a another chicken godown and to buy chicken feeds. Her dream is to one day be able to buy a cow for milk.

She will share this loan with her loan group "Jumuiya Kiluvya" which has a total of 18 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back their loans.
