"Path to Success" is a group formed by six members, one of them is Virginia who is the president of the group. She is a hard working woman and for 21 years she has dedicated herself to business. First, she began selling vegetables, but due to the hardship that it brought, she decided to leave that and change to the category of groceries. In her business she offers her clients many types of beans, noodles and diverse bread products to carry out. With the fruit of this labor she completed the purchase of the stall that she rented before, and today she owns it and another one where her daughter works. Her work has permitted her to do many things; the items she thinks are the most important are giving her three children a good education and the improvement of her home. In the future she wants to move her business to her house and to convert it into a wholesale grocery. With her loan she will buy different products like rice, sugar and noodles, this way she will offer a variety to keep her clients content.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
