La Cruz De Yerbateros Group's story

'People who are keen to make progress' is how the members of the 'Cruz de Yerbateros' group describe themselves. This group has seven [female] members who find a way to make income for their households and families through their businesses.

This is the case of 41-year-old Flor de María who is married and has two dependent children. For more than seven years, she has been selling iced treats in the summer and 'emoliente' (a local drink) in the winter. She works as hard as she is able in order to get ahead in life for the good of herself and her family. In the future, she would like to have a much better equipped ice cream parlor. She will use her loan to stock up with merchandise, buying products for the winter season. In common with Flor De María, the other members of the group each have their own personal story. However, what they all have in common is the effort and hard work that they put in every day for the good of their families.

In this group: Flor De Maria, Isabel, Candelaria, Estefani, Rosario, Mariana, Lishmar
