Sokiri is a 26-year-old businessman who lives in Juba. He is married and has two children between the ages of three and one year old. None of them goes to school.
Sokiri runs a mixed goods store business and has been in the business for four years. He has one employee. Sokiri heard about Finance Sudan on the radio and through promotion done in the market. He is taking a loan of 3,000 SDG to purchase more items like utensils, bags, earrings, cosmetics and many other items. In addition to this business, Sokiri has no other source of income.
In five years time, Sokiri hopes to build a house and increase the business size as well.
His major challenges include the low income rate and higher transportation costs of the goods because most of his goods come from the neighboring nation.
Sokiri says that he appreciates Finance Sudan for supporting the poor but active with financial services.
