San Juan Group's story

The 21-member San Juan group is in its tenth loan cycle. The members are well known in the neighbourhood for being committed and responsible people. They formed a group in order to be able to help their children get ahead.

Maria is one of the members. She sells all types of clothing; the income helps her support her family and provide for their daily needs. She says she is a hardworking, enterprising person whose wish is to continue making progress.

Maria is seeking a loan to buy more clothing so that she will be able to offer her customers a greater variety. She and the other members of the group are grateful to the Foundation and to Kiva for the help they are receiving.
