A group of neighbors in the city of Cusco formed the Communal Bank “Dulce Nombre de Jesús” (The Sweet Name of Jesus). This communal bank has been in operation for a few years now and is very well organized. The group is formed by members who are always looking for opportunities to get ahead, and with their daily efforts, offer their children a better future. The economic activities of the members are the following: food sales, shoe sales, arts and crafts sales, mattress sales, animal husbandry, chicken sales, cosmetic sales and services such as sewing and transportation.

One of the members, Ruth, was born in the Cusco district of the province of Cusco and lives in the same city she was born. Ruth is 35 years old and has a son with her partner. Ruth alternates her household duties with her business providing sewing services. She has a little shop where she does all kinds of different sewing jobs, like basting, mending, sewing and other things. She’s been doing it for 10 years and it’s been going very well thanks to the hard work she puts into it.

Ruth is requesting this loan to buy work materials, such as thread, fabric, buttons and other items.

The members are grateful for the opportunity that they have been given and they promise to meet their payments in the required time.

Cusco is well situated in the district and province of Cusco in the heart of the ancient Incan city. Un grupo de vecinos y amigos formaron el banco comunal “Dulce Nombre de Jesús” en la ciudad del Cusco. Ya son varios años que funciona el banco comunal y está muy bien organizado. Este banco comunal está conformado por personas que buscan a cada momento las oportunidades para salir adelante y con su esfuerzo diario entregar un mejor futuro a sus hijos. Las actividades económicas de los socios son por ejemplo; venta de comida, venta de zapatos, venta de artesanía, venta de colchones, crianza de animales, venta de pollos, venta de cosméticos y otros se dedican a brindar servicios de costura y transportes.

La socia Ruth nació en el distrito Cusco del departamento Cusco y vive en la misma ciudad donde nació, tiene 35 años de edad y tiene una relación de unión libre de la cual tiene un hijo. Ruth alterna sus que actividades del hogar con el negocio de brindar servicio de costura, ella tiene un pequeño taller donde realiza todo tipo de trabajo como por ejemplo levantar basta, remallar, coser y otras cosas más. Ya son diez años que se dedica a este servicio y le va muy bien gracias al empeño que pone en su trabajo. En esta oportunidad Ruth requiere el préstamo para comprar materiales de trabajo como por ejemplo hilos, telas, botones y otras cosas más.

Los socios en general agradecen la oportunidad brindada y se comprometen a cumplir con el pago de sus diferentes cuotas en los plazos establecidos.

Cusco está ubicado en el distrito y provincia del Cusco del departamento del Cusco en pleno corazón de la antigua ciudad de los Incas.
