Mayra is a member of Estrellitas bank. She lives outside the city of Cuenca, a city with a cool climate. It was declared a World Heritage Site in December 1999. It is bathed by 4 rivers and great natural beauty. Its people are warmhearted, friendly, kind and cordial. They maintain their culture and traditions.

Mayra is married and her husband works in a private business. They do no own their own home and are renters.

Mayra is in good health and so are all of her family members. She works as a private employee and also works with her mother making aprons. She has done this activity for 4 years and does it because it is a profitable activity.

She has invested the money from the previous loan in buying fabric, thread, buttons, etc. She will invest the new loan in buying fabric and thread to continue growing in the business. She paid off the previous loan without any difficulty. She likes the communal bank because of the group support, as they are very close.

Her goal is to own her own house.
