A loan of $1,150 helped to buy fish for her business.

Teresa's story

Teresa, 46, is married and owns the home where she lives with her two children in the village of Fanupe in the Nuevo neighborhood, 15 minutes from the city of Morrope. Her husband is a farmer and she helps him with the household expenses.

Teresa sells fish door-to-door. She buys it in Santa Rosa and sells it in the villages around Morrope. She sells on cash and credit and has loyal customers. She also raises and sells animals. The 3000 nuevos soles will be used to buy fish so she can take care of her customers.
