A loan of $575 helped to buy chair covers and tablecloths.

Victor Alejandro's story

Víctor is an enthusiastic, above all, hardworking young man. He lives in the city of Pisco, a city noted for its hot climate and for having some wonderful tourist attractions: the Ballestas Islands and the Paracas Candelabrum. Year-round tourists are welcomed who return amazed by the beauty of the flora and fauna found there.

Like all good Peruvians he enjoys our country’s typical food very much and one of his favorite dishes is the very delicious “Estofado de Pollo.” When he has free time he likes to draw, above all, combining colors. He likes that very much and besides it distracts him when he’s worried about something. He studied up to fifth grade of secondary school but would have liked to have studied to become a Graphic Designer.

With much effort Víctor works day to day in his decoration business. He works about ten hours per week since he mainly works on weekends because that’s when children’s parties, weddings, baptisms, among others take place. He can take care of up to five customers per week. He believes that he does well in his business because he’s very detail oriented and above all creative in his work and this is why he’s always being recommended and is known by the customers.

Víctor is very grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to the help they have given him he will be able to buy chair covers for his decorations as well as tablecloths. With this improvement he will be able to provide better service having adequate materials to continue working day to day to attain his greatest dream: “To have a place of his own in his city’s market and to grow in his business.”
