A loan of $875 helped to buy farming supplies and pay for labor.

Francisco Javier's story

Francisco is 34 years old and originally from Yali, Jinotega. He is a country dweller who grows vegetables and coffee. Francisco is married and the father of three children. He started his coffee-growing activities six years ago at the age of 28 when he purchased 2½ large plots of land for growing coffee. The money he used to pay for the land was earned from selling beans. After he finished that harvest, he began investing in the planting of coffee. With great effort and constant hard work, Francisco maintains his coffee plants. He sells the coffee in his area to buyers who are looking for organic coffee. One of his greatest wishes is to participate in a competition for coffee excellence. In order to do this, Francisco knows that he must produce more so that he can generate more earnings to invest in expanding his coffee fields. Achieving this result requires a great deal of investment capital.

Francisco is requesting a loan to purchase supplies for planting and to pay for labor required for planting coffee. The loan will help provide the capital for buying the supplies that are necessary for achieving good production. His intention is to increase his coffee production levels.
