Senegal / Food Market

A loan of $425 helped to buy various goods (palm oil, tamarind, honey...).

Abdoul Karim's story

Mr. Abdou Karim has been active selling a variety of products for ten years. He gets his supplies from a market renowned for the diversity of its products. Abdou is 41 years old, married, and the father of four children. The oldest child is 14 years old, and the youngest is 2.

He is requesting a loan from the microfinance institution IMCEC to buy some grocery items, such as palm oil, honey, and other products likely to generate a profit from their sale.

Abdou does all this to meet the day-to-day needs of his family. With these same concerns, his future plans include building a house one day to house his family.
