Marìa Manuela's story

Maria, 30, is married and lives with her husband and 3 young children. The typical lifestyle in their community is one of subsistence - most of the people are self-employed in animal husbandry and farming. Her house is an an annex of Santa Clara, in the district of Morrope, a rural area 35 minutes outside of Lambayeque.

Maria raises and sells animals. She has 10 years of experience in this line of work. Her business is in her own home and she has a fixed clientele.

The 4000 nuevos soles requested will be invested in the purchase of balanced feed to fatten her animals (pigs, goats, chickens) and make improvements to the corral. She has knowledge of the proper feeding of her animals.
