Hasnah is a 55-year-old Lebanese single woman. She lives with her parents and only one sibling. Unlike other women in her place, she helps her family in covering their expenses. She strives to work really hard and doesn’t hesitate to offer help whenever they need it.
She has owned a minimarket since 1992. She succeeded at work especially after being very welcoming and friendly.
Today, she wants to borrow a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase added provisions and products for her business. In that way, she will be able to carry on her work in a proper way. In the future, she plans to open her own supermarket.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
