A loan of $500 helped buy basic grains such as oatmeal, plus soap, bread, milk, rice and sugar.

Francy Lucelia's story

Francy is a young woman, 23 years of age, who was born in Esteli. She is single and a merchant in the grocery business. Educationally, Francy reached university level. She began her monetary activity with money she saved from remittances her Mother has sent from the United States since Francy was 22 years old. Previously, she had a clothing store but decided to abandon that since it didn't generate much income.

Francy feels very satisfied with the store; it is located in a visible spot where she enjoys a good clientele. She expects to maintain the business because it gives her independence and permits her to be at her family's side.

Francy is requesting a loan to buy basic grains such as oatmeal, plus soap, bread, milk, rice, sugar, etc., all that's needed to stock her grocery business. Concerning future plans, she hopes to maintain the business and be able to get ahead and have a better standard of living.
