A loan of $400 helped to buy balanced animal feed and veterinary products.

Marìa Rosa's story

María is a 33-year-old woman who is in a common-law relationship and has two young children. She lives in her own home with her husband and children in the village of Cruz del Médano, which is in the District of Mòrrope. The quality of life in this community is at a subsistence level. Most of the residents are independent workers who engage in trade and animal breeding. They also engage in agriculture and work as hired farm laborers.

Maria has a business that involves raising animals and selling veterinary products. She has experience in this type of work and has been in business for more than five years. Her businesses are managed from her home and she has established customers. The loan amount of 1,000 PEN that she is requesting will be invested in her business. She has plans to expand her veterinary business a little bit more and to buy feed for fattening her small animals and her pigs. At the moment, she proposes to expand her inventory of veterinary products since this a very profitable business in her area.
