A loan of $6,125 helped a member to buy shelving.

El Algodonal Florece Group's story

Lucila is always looking for ways to help her husband with the household expenses. Ever since her three children were little she has had several jobs; but now she sells food, especially on weekends when she makes tamales and pork cracklings. She is well known for her delicious cuisine so many neighbors buy from her. At night she also sells snack foods outside her house where she has set up tables and chairs. Lucila wants to have a larger and more comfortable place for her customers, and so she is saving to that end. Her snack bar is called "ANTOJITOS". She plans to use the loan to buy shelving for sodas and other beverages. Thanks to her work she is able to pay for family expenses, such as food and services.
