A loan of $6,650 helped a member to upgrade equipment and buy merchandise for the salon.

Las Educadoras Group's story

“Las Educadoras” (The Educators) is a group formed by enterprising women from the municipality of Ciénega de Flores. They know each other because they are neighbors and merchants. This was the motivation for them to join together and take on the commitment of a group loan to invest in their businesses and make them grow.

Blanca Nohemí is a wife and the mother of two children. Intending to help support the home without neglecting her children’s care and education, she decided to establish a home-based beauty salon where she offers haircuts to people of all ages. She started empirically and in time has learned the art of beauty services.

She’s asking for this loan to grow her business buying merchandise that will make it possible for her to offer new services as well as to upgrade the equipment she currently uses (scissors, dryer and hair clipper).

In this group: Blanca Elizabeth, Blanca Nohemi, Francisca, Francisca, Jessica Francisca, Maria De Lourdes, Mirthala, Patricia Ivonne, Raquel, Rosa Nelly
