Benita, 42, lives in Paraíso, Guayaquil. She started her business after taking a sewing course. When she was 20 years old she noticed that in order to be a seamstress she had to have sewing machines so she started buying them little by little. Now she has eight machines and three employees. She works Monday through Saturday and is a single mother with adult children. The difficulty she has is with delinquency. In the future she wants to improve her business and finish her house. She will use the loan to buy fabric and thread.
