A loan of $1,050 helped to buy fertilizer.

Exekennedy's story

Exekennedy is 27 years old, single and lives in the community of Patuca, Olancho. He makes a living growing and selling coffee, which he learned from his father working at a very early age on a farm.

8 years ago he began to cultivate his own farm, his working hours are from 6:00 am to 1:00 pm but during the harvest season he works full time as the work is very abundant.

In terms of advantages, the business is very profitable and provides him a good with a good profit; the only downside is that there is only one harvest a year. Exekennedy is requesting the loan to buy fertilizer to improve the farm and increase the production of coffee

The main challenge with the cultivation of coffee is during the winter when, because of the continuous rain, the grain falls down and therefore there is a loss. Exekennedy’s goal is to have a more extensive farm and to produce better quality coffee.

This is his first loan in FAMA and he hopes to make the payments in a timely manner.
