Marìa Santos's story

Marìa is a woman of 60 years of age, her marital status is single and she has two adult children. She lives in her own house in the village of Positos, in the district of Mórrope. Their quality of life is that of a subsistence community, most are self-employed workers working in commerce and breeding animals, and in addition they work in agriculture.

Marìa’s business is breeding small animals. She has thirty years experience in this activity. The breeding takes place in her own home and thanks to her work and efforts she has regular customers who are traders from the Chiclayo market.

The amount of the loan being sought is 2500 soles to be used to invest in the purchase of small animals (birds), goats and sheep for breeding and fattening.

With the current loan she is planning to expand the breeding pens and buy animal feed in order to fatten the small animals and pigs. In regards to the animals, currently she wants to increase her inventory since it is a profitable activity in the area.
