A loan of $1,300 helped to purchase livestock.

Salamat's story

Salamat is 60 years old. In search of a source of income for her family, she started her own business in animal husbandry in 1990 with an initial sum of 12,000 som (KGS). Today Salamat's business contains two dairy cows and seven sheep, and the earnings from sales of milk and milk products yield about 4,000 som (KGS) per month. In order to further develop her business, Salamat requested a loan in the amount of 60,000 som (KGS) from the "Bai-Tushum and Partners" company to buy additional heads of livestock. She plans to invest the earnings from the loan into a continued expansion of her business.
