Pheary, 46, is married, and resides with her husband and four children in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She has been involved in growing rice for over twenty years, earning approximately USD 3 per day. Her husband is a construction worker who earns about USD 3 per day. Two of her children are employed in a garment factory. They earn about USD 8 per day.
Pheary is requesting a loan of USD 500 to purchase cattle to use for tilling her farmland and delivering her crops. This purchase will help her to reduce tilling and delivery expenses. In the future, she would like to run an additional business of fish farming to generate more income to support the family. Moreover, she hopes to build a fence and help her children get bachelor’s degrees.
