Jamal's story

Jamal is a 42-year-old married father of three children. He retailed and repaired spare parts until 2010 when he opened up his own grocery store, selling foodstuffs and candies.

Jamal is applying for a loan from Kiva’s Partner, Al Majmoua, to increase the supply of goods in his store and to expand his business further. Jamal has always been independent and is happy to have been a self-made trader. His main concern is to maintain a good standard of living for himself and his family.
