Veith, 61, is widowed and resides with five children in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She has been selling groceries for over five years, earning approximately USD 3 per day. Three of her children are employed in the factory. They earn about USD 9 per day. In order to improve her family’s livelihood, Veith is requesting a loan of USD 500 to purchase more groceries to re-sell. By doing so, she can earn more profit to support the family. In the future, she would like to use the profit to expand her business and help her children get bachelor’s degrees. Moreover, she hopes to rebuild her present house to make it more convenient for her family.
