A loan of $350 helped to purchase rice, vegetables, oil and beans.

Karla Vanessa's story

Karla is 25 years old, single and lives in city of Estelí, Nicaragua. She makes a living running a snack stand. She started this business with the help of her parents. Previously she sold gold and silver jewelry, which helped her save up for the snack stand, something she had in mind for some time. Today, she feels very happy and proud of her success with the help of her parents. Although her business is small, her dream is to be able to expand it and stock it with a wider variety of popular products to catch customers' eyes. She plans to use this loan to purchase rice, vegetables, oil and beans, since she wants to sell these foods to incorporate more variety into her stand, which until now only sold snacks and sodas.
