Ruth Joaquina's story

Forty-five year old Ruth Joaquina lives in her own home along with her husband. She makes and sells delicious pupusas in a variety of flavors and has been doing this for many years. She has much experience and many steady customers who prefer to buy from her more each day. She’s known for being a very hardworking, responsible, enterprising woman and has many personal references because it’s very important to her that her customers are satisfied with the service they get because this is the only way she can keep them happy and make them want to return to her business. She’s been thinking about how she can grow the business and has decided that the best way is to request a loan through INTEGRAL and invest it in ingredients that she needs to make pupusas; things like beans, cheese, rice, dried corn, pork rinds, tomatoes, squash, cabbage, etc. She also wants to improve the business’ facility, given that she currently doesn’t have an enclosed area so that the business will be more secure. She hopes to increase her customers’ prefence and in this way increase her income and improve her family’s quality of life.
