Hob Alwtn Group's story

This group is called Hob Alwtn. It consists of four members: Salma, Shwayh, Amnh and Fatima. They are ladies who are responsible for their families. Their community is a rural area surrounded by fields where they make Yemeni bread. They have many clients, mostly women.

Salma is 28 years old. She is the coordinator of her group. (She is the second woman from the left side on the photo). She is a divorced woman and has one daughter. In the beginning, she learned how to make bread from her neighbors, then continued her activity. It is the main source of income so that she can help raise her daughter and give her a good education.

Salma's most important challenges are to work hard to gain extra income and to improve her business structure. She is receiving a youth loan of 30,000 YER from AMB to buy bread materials like flour, salt, yeast and baking soda for her business.

In the future, she would like to expand her business to improve her living conditions.
