Vanny, 51, is married, resides with her husband and three children in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. She has been making round baskets to sell for more than two years, earning approximately USD 2 per day. Her husband is a rice farmer who earns about USD 4 per day. One of her children is a garment worker. She earns about USD 2 per day.
In order to improve her family’s economy, Vanny is requesting a loan of USD 800 to purchase farmland for growing more agricultural crops. This money will help her expand her agricultural business and earn more income to support the family. In the future, she would like to run groceries store at home and help her children get bachelor’s degree. Moreover, she hopes to build a big new house as soon as possible.
