A loan of $475 helped to buy clothing and a wide variety of cosmetics and multipurpose products.

Nancy Maria's story

Nancy lives with her two children, ages 6 and 11, in the municipality of Soledad. There she works selling beauty products like slimming creams, bath products, etc. that she imports from a neighboring country. She also sells clothing of many types, which her sister makes, as her sister is a seamstress who makes and sells dresses.

Some of the products her customers ask for, she buys downtown and she also has access to promotional items with particular discounts in her specialized directories. Her goal for the future is to have a wholesale outlet and a warehouse to distribute to other vendors. Right now, she is applying for a micro-loan, the first financial loan she's made with the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, with which she will buy clothing and a great variety of cosmetics and multipurpose products. She intends to use these products to widen her clientele for Mother's Day and make greater sales. As this happens, her dream is to acquire a vehicle and guarantee a successful future for her children.
