A loan of $950 helped to buy nutritionally balanced feed for her livestock.

Miriam's story

Miriam is a 25 year old woman who is a single mother with a minor son in her care. She lives in her own house with her baby located in the El Porvenir Hualtaco III hamlet in Tambogrande District. Miriam lives in the rural part of this district and the only basic utility she has in her house is electricity.

The activity that Miriam does is raising pigs and barnyard fowl at home. She raises them, fattens them up and sells them in the local market when they reach ideal size and weight. In addition, Miriam sells clothes in nearby hamlets winning over regular customers who see her items of clothing as novel things.

The loan Miriam is asking for is 2500 new soles that she will use to buy feed for her livestock and barnyard fowl. She will also make improvements to the corrals where she keeps her animals and improvements to her house. This will allow her to improve her standard of living and reach her personal goals.
