Adinofex Plus is a group of 16 owners of small businesses chaired by Yves. Its members are jointly liable for loans granted by Kiva to grow their businesses.

Yves, married and aged 41, operates a general store in an area located mid-west of the capital city of Kinshasa. He has been in business since 2001. He has acquired solid experience in this area. Yves has already used six Hope loans (a DRCongo Microfinance Program) to finance the expanding of his inventory and he paid them back correctly.

Due to the high demand in his community, he intends with the next loan to buy more goods for resale in order to meet clients' demand and generate additional profit. This will help him to achieve his plans to grow the business. It brings in a profit of US$122 per week. Yves’s ambition is to expand his store further. He is engaged. He is the father of three children whose ages are between 10 and 14 years old. Two of them go to school.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
