Nouvelle Jérusalem Plus Group's story

Richard, aged 46, is the chairman of the Community Bank named “Nouvelle Jérusalem Plus”. It is composed of 8 members united in solidarity for receiving Kiva loans with the goal of developing their businesses.

Richard has been part of the micro-enterprise world since 2004. He sells beverages. His business is located to the north-east of Kinshasa. He is working hard to develop his business which is supporting his family. The loan he will obtain next will be used to buy more crates of drinks to resell retail with the goal of increasing his profits. His business generates a profit of about $60 per week.

Richard’s ambition is to become a beverage provider in his area and open a general store. He is married and the father of three children. All of them attend school.
