Brigitte is a leader of the community bank named “Dieu Vivant Plus,” which is composed of 10 microentrepreneurs united in solidarity to obtain loans from HOPE DRC with the goal of developing their businesses.

Brigitte is 48 years old, married, and has two adult children who are students. She sells smoked fish in the mid-western area of Kinshasa, which she has been doing since 1998. Through her sales, she earns about $140 per week.

Brigitte plans to use the loan to purchase bags of smoked fish to resell in order to increase her income. She is a trustworthy client of HOPE DRC, having received and repaid eight loans. In the future, she hopes to become a fish provider in her area.
