A loan of $7,650 helped a member buy more shoes to sell.

Vicente Guerrero 2 Group's story

Francisca, 52, has 2 children who depend on her. Her daughter is in 7th grade and her son is in 4th grade. She lives happily with her husband in Santa Cruz, who works for the government of Florencio Villarrreal.

Francisca is a businesswoman and has sold footwear at her store, Andrea y Mega Shoes, for 3 years. She will invest her loan into buying enough shoes to sell so she can make more of a profit – the more shoes she has, the more shoes she sells – as this is her source of income to support her family.

Francisca and 9 other women are members of the Vicente Guerrero group; a name that comes from the town they live in. All of these hard-working women are capable of providing and meeting the needs of their families. The members are as follows: Dolores, Lucia, Marisela, Francisca, Alba, Virginia, Adelaida, Inés, Paula and Ventura. The members sell the following: groceries, sheets and blankets, bedspreads, perfumes, bread, jewelry accessories, shoes, fruits and vegetables.
