A loan of $775 helped to buy spare parts.

Victor Javier's story

Víctor, 37, lives in the city of Mala, a city noted for having a hot climate and for being very welcoming as well as for its beautiful beaches and for the kindness of its people.

Víctor is the father of a little 6-year-old girl. Due to some outside problems, he separated from his daughter’s mother but this hasn’t kept him from seeing her and this is why he works hard to give her a good quality of life. Whenever he has any free time he likes to play soccer with his neighbors and friends in the neighborhood and he also enjoys eating one of his favorite dishes, the very delicious “Arroz con Pollo” [Chicken with Rice].

Víctor works repairing motorcycles. He spends about 10 hours daily at work and can take care of up to four customers per day depending on the type of repairs he does. He believes that he does well in his business because he’s charismatic and customers always seek him out.

Víctor is very grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to their support he will be able to buy spare parts he needs to repair the vehicles. In this way he will be able to improve his income and his and his daughter’s quality of life so that he can continue striving toward making his dream a reality: “To own his own repair shop.”
