A loan of $1,050 helped to purchase Lycra fabric, which he uses for sewing underwear.

Jose Abel's story

Jose Abel is 29 years old. He is married and has two children aged 8 and 6. He lives in a village in Choloma, Cortes.

Jose Abel has a workshop where he sews underwear for women, men and children. He makes all kinds of clothing, such as briefs, bikinis, bras, etc. He has had this business for the last four years. After he worked in a factory and acquired experience, he decided to establish it together with his wife. He now has seven employees who help him with producing the items. He has been able to grow by means of loans, and has the necessary equipment.

He is currently requesting a fourth loan, which he will invest in raw materials such as the Lycra fabric that he uses for making underwear, with the goal of meeting his orders and the demand that he has for his products.

His goal is to always keep an inventory of raw materials, so as to meet demand and increase his income.
