A loan of $1,000 helped to buy fabrics and various other products for resale.

Bineta's story

Mrs. Bineta is a 54-year-old married woman who lives in Senegal and works in small trade. She sells fabrics, bazins, fruits and groundnuts, and she is also a housekeeper. She has over 15 years of experience in sales. Her goal is to diversify her sources of income. She became a member of the local U-IMCEC branch in November 2003 and has already repaid six previous loans.

She is seeking a loan of 500,000F to stock up on merchandise in a country bordering Senegal. Past loans have allowed her to earn profits and to have her parents’ home expanded gradually. These expansions currently bring her rental income that helps in the management of her personal expenses.
