Las Emprendedoras Group's story

The “Las Emprendedoras” (The Entrepreneurs) committee is composed of 16 women from the city of Asunción. They are all friends and neighbors and have all the enthusiasm for helping their families and children through their work giving them greater opportunities than they have been able to have.

Ada is one of the members of this committee. She joined with a strong drive to work and get ahead.

She makes cakes, cookies and a variety of other sweet things to sell in a rented space she has. She tells us that she hopes for a better future for her children and this is why she strives every day to give them the opportunity to study and attain a better future.

She asks for help from Kiva and Fundación Paraguaya to buy flour, sugar, candy, yeast and other ingredients she uses to make the sweets she sells.
