Kula's story

This is 37-year-old Kula. She is married and has three children, ages 18, 13, and 9 years old. She has one additional dependent, who lives with her because she is her sales assistant. In 2000, Kula established her food sales business. She began her business because she wants to provide assistance to her husband in the running of the home, and the business is her major source of income. Working seven days a week and 11 hours a day, she earns about Le1,600,000 every month from this business. She would like a loan in the amount of Le 5,000,000. Kula requires a loan in order to buy bulgur and rice. She hopes that this loan will enable her to increase her monthly profits by approximately Le 350,000. In the future, Kula plans to own a house, continue with ARD until she is financially self sufficient, and to give her children a quality education. She thanks you for your support.
