Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $625 helped to buy bags of corn, yams, and rice for her bar.

Adzovi's story

Adzovi is a 38-year-old woman. She has two children, both of whom attend school. Her eldest child is 17 years old, and her youngest child is 7.

She has been running a restaurant since 2005, located in a local bar. She has two people who help her, and she usually stocks up at the market.

She is seeking her first loan from WAGES to buy ingredients for her restaurant (corn, rice, yam tubers, tomatoes..). She wants to reinvest in her business, have a refrigerator to keep her clients' drinks cool, and ensure the training of her eldest son.
