A loan of $1,525 helped to buy animals and animal feed.

Vilma Soledad's story

Vilma is a 33 year old married woman. She lives in her own house in Granja Sasape hamlet in Túcume District. The community lives at the subsistence level. Most are independent workers in businesses selling animals.

What Vilma does is sell small farm animals like barnyard fowl and others. She carries this out at home. She also does tasks related to agriculture.

The 4000 new soles will be used to buy more animals and nutritionally balanced feed for them and for maintenance of her own crops. Animal sales is a line of work with a great deal of competition but quite profitable.
