A loan of $950 helped to purchase supplies for making dairy products such as milk, rennet, salt, and other items.

Iris Consuelo's story

Iris is 45 years old, married, and lives in a neighborhood in the town of Arizona, Tela Atlántida, with her five children and the rest of her family.

For approximately 10 years, Doña Iris has been producing dairy products such as cheese, cream, curds, and other items. She operates her business every day since it helps to generate additional income to support her household. Iris has maintained this business through the use of several loans she has obtained from ODEF. She is currently requesting 18,000 HNL in order to buy raw materials and supplies such as milk, rennet, salt, and other items used in making cheese and other dairy products. Her goal is to maintain an active business, since this is a source of income by which she is able to provide a better quality of life for her family.
